UV String Art • Modular Psychedelic Stage Decor
Psybell – Psytrance Stage is a large-scale modular UV string art installation designed specifically for psytrance and electronic music events. Built as a symmetrical, geometric stage concept, this work transforms open space into a focused visual environment that supports music, rhythm, and collective experience.
The installation is constructed from UV-active synthetic acrylic cotton strings stretched across wooden laths and reinforced with hundreds of steel nails. A black UV-resistant spray coating provides strong contrast and long-term durability, allowing the colors to react intensely under blacklight conditions.
The stage consists of 16 triangular modules, carefully arranged into a balanced visual system. Four modules are fully identical, while the remaining twelve form six paired designs, creating symmetry without repetition. This structure allows flexibility in assembly while maintaining a coherent and recognizable visual identity.
Each triangle is crafted entirely by hand using traditional tools and precise measuring techniques. The process emphasizes accuracy, alignment, and structural stability, ensuring the installation can withstand repeated transport, assembly, and live-event conditions.

Future development 🔧
For the next season, the installation is planned to undergo a full renovation, including new wooden frames and 8–10 re-woven triangles in a more unified color system. This upgrade will allow even stronger visual continuity and cleaner modular integration during assembly.
