Rainbow UV String Art • Large-Scale Handcrafted Artwork

Psy Harmony is a large-format 100 cm UV string art mandala, completed in 2024, built as a harmonious rainbow spiral composed of 12 perfectly balanced colors. The colors rotate smoothly through the composition, creating a calm, continuous flow that feels ordered, intentional, and deeply precise.

At first glance, the artwork appears serene and meditative. However, the longer one observes it, the more its true nature reveals itself — an extremely dense and complex structure that exposes the sheer amount of manual work hidden within every layer 🧠
Only through close observation does it become clear how many thousands of precise movements were required to bring this piece into existence.

Design precision and process 📐

Although Psy Harmony could be perceived as a technical achievement, it is primarily an emotional statement expressed through precision. Every spiral transition, color shift, and intersection was carefully planned and executed by hand.

The creation involved:

• exact geometric layout of the full circular form

• extensive hand-nailing of over 4,000 nails

• long sessions of dense spiral threading

• constant focus on symmetry, tension, and consistency

In total, approximately 24–28 hours of concentrated manual work were invested into this artwork, making it one of the most time-intensive pieces in my portfolio.

Visual character 🔮

Psy Harmony is intentionally calming rather than overwhelming. Its strength lies in balance, repetition, and rhythm. Under UV light, the spiral structure gently activates, revealing a soft psychedelic glow without disturbing the overall harmony of the composition.

This makes the artwork especially suitable for gallery environments or for psychedelic collectors who appreciate refined visual systems rather than loud decoration.

Materials and craftsmanship 🧵

• UV-active synthetic acrylic cotton threads

• Laminated chipboard base (1.2 cm thickness)

• Steel nails (2 cm)

• Matte black spray finish

The artwork was created using precision measuring tools, traditional hand tools, and careful thermal finishing of threads — entirely by hand.
